When: Thursday, April 24th at 6:00pm
Where: Brew House Association, 2100 Mary Street, South Side
One day a year people in cities all over the country get together to turn metered public parking spots into public parks. PARK(ing) Day, sponsored by The Trust for Public Land and created by Rebar in 2005, is meant to encourage people to rethink how streets are used, and to temporarily expand the amount of public open space in an urban environment. We hope you join us in our efforts to bring this wonderful project to Pittsburgh. Mark your calendars - National PARK(ing) Day is September 19, 2008!
At this meeting, the Office of Public Art will show examples of temporary art projects to help encourage and inspire artist's involvement with National PARK(ing) Day. The CDCP will be on hand to offer assistance to the many community organizations and its members, and to discuss the impact and significance of PARK(ing) Day in relation to the many issues communities face.
Bus routes to the Brew House include: 51 (A,B,C,D), 54 (C), and 59 (U)
Please direct all replies of acceptance, as well as any questions to Emily Craig at 412.258.6651 or emily@riverlifetaskforce.org.
