This is so duh, you have to wonder why anyone even brings it up any more. Except, it seems, no one in a position of public authority ever does bring it up. Except the president.
Most Pittsburgh public art is art that was not made by Pittsburgh artists. It boils down to a lack of self confidence, not in our artists, but in the intellegence of granting foundations.
