Artist Andy Kehoe's work is among my favorite. Pittsburgh born and bred he now lives in Portland,Oregon. Making the top 100 of Juxtapoz is a big deal and it's well deserved.
Check out the link here.
Kehoe’s allegorical oil and acrylic on wood panel paintings utilize muted color combinations, which allow his meticulous brush strokes to speak loudly. Many of the characters of the part-man-part-beast variety are consistently portrayed with a strong sense of alienation, finding peace and beauty in solitude to overcome feeling alone.
Good blog post of images here too.
His website is www.andykehoe.net and exhibits across the U.S., including the renowned Jonathan Levine Gallery.
