Face2Face at the History Center Pittsburgh: A Tradition of Innovation
Join the Pittsburgh Technology Council for an evening designed to connect our region’s remarkable innovators from history with its current leaders in technology. You don't want to miss this opportunity to mix and mingle with other technology professionals from around the region as well as catch up with colleagues and friends in true Face2Face tradition.The new 16,000 square-foot exhibit tells the definitive Pittsburgh story, celebrating our region’s unmatched accomplishments in industry, architecture, entertainment, medicine, sports and more. Innovations like Westinghouse’s air brake and alternating current, Jonas Salk’s polio vaccine, H.J. Heinz’s marketing genius and “uncommonly good” Ketchup, US Steel’s rails and I beams, all changed the world. And Pittsburgh hasn’t stopped innovating since, with our emergence as a leader in higher education, supercomputing, tissue engineering, green building, robotics and more.That’s where you come in. Pittsburgh’s innovation story is continuing to unfold in dramatic and exciting ways. What is your company or organization doing to make history right now? We want to provide the opportunity to chronicle your story for the hundreds of thousands of people who visit the History Center, Pennsylvania’s largest history museum and an affiliate of the Smithsonian, every year. During the event, Andy Masich, President and CEO of the History Center will highlight what they are looking to add to the exhibit and host tours so that you can see how the past can evolve into the future. After the event, The Pittsburgh Technology Council will be accepting 250 word proposals that showcase why your company or innovation should be included in the exhibit. All entries will be reviewed by the History Center and selected innovators will be added to Pittsburgh's history!Sponsored by PNC.
