Pittsburgh Glass Center's 10 Year Anniversary


Pop City covers the Pittsburgh Glass Center on it's 10 year anniversary.

Today, the identity of Pittsburgh glass has shifted substantially. No longer does it rest in the callused, overworked, and often underage hands of industrial laborers, but in the nimble fingers of artists, educators, and curious students. And with the factories all but gone from the region, today's glass workers practice their art in a bright, open, LEED certified building situated as a cornerstone of an emerging arts district. It is exactly this building � and its resources, programs, and community � that keeps the history of Pittsburgh glass not only alive and well but also moving from purely industrial to surprisingly creative.
