Second Saturdays August 9, 2008 Performance Art, Art Show

Second Saturdays "The Second Dimension" Live 2-D Performance Art, Sophisticated Graffiti and Photography Exhibits
Saturday, August 9th 7:00pm-midnight at The Space Upstairs $5 suggested donation at the door

Inspired by the idea of Pittsburgh's signature First Friday events and the success of last year's by volume series, The Pillow Project has begun our own program known as Second Saturdays - a new performance-based, gallery-style monthly happening dedicated to casually and informally showcasing the current work, repertoire, collaborations and/or experimental material of The Pillow Project and our monthly dance/multimedia guest artist(s) in our uniquely hip, art-lounge atmosphere.

August's Second Saturday proudly features choreographic presentations from Gia Cacalano (with PJ Roduta), H2O Contemporary Dance and Jillian Canastraro, as well as illustrated exhibits and photography installations by local artists Brittany Alexandra Campbell, Zoe Walker, Eric Luden, Samantha Thorp, Christina Cameron, Jaison Schafer, Colette Plush and The Pillow Project’s very own Ryan Hose and Abby Gleason. Graphic illustrations and live performances by Baked Krackers Inc. Live music throughout the evening by Denise Peachey, Jeremy Fisher and PJ Roduta!
Performances from The Pillow Project include sneak peek/early-ideation previews of this Fall's upcoming production of Twenty Eighty-Four!
