Hey All..it's been a while, and here's the skinny.
First off, we are still very active in cool events outside of Zombo Gallery.
Tonight, is Sinferno (Happens monthly, more info here). Our amazing multifaceted performance and dance party night at Club Cattivo (146 44th in Lawrenceville). It's two floors of wild performance art/bands and two floors of killer djs (Zombo is djing the first floor). And it's only $5 to get in.
Next Tuesday, the 30th is our Amazingly Cool Art/Music Exchange at Perk Me Up coffee house on Butler St in Lawrenceville. Artist/musicians can bring any form of their craft and put it on display and then Zombo djs and hosts a fun game like atmosphere where the participants get to swap their art or music. It starts at 7pm and the trading starts around 8:30pm. and It's Free!
Then on Monday, December 6th at Arsenal Lanes in Lawrenceville, Zombo unleashes his "Anything Goes Open Mic Night". The stage is yours for music (we will have a full band set up courtesy of Backstage Guitars), Comedy or performance art. It's $8 to get in..but that gives you unlimited bowling for the whole evening! It starts at 9pm and goes till Midnight! It may be a monthly or weekly event depending on the turnout.
Ok now the Zombo Gallery news. We closed in early September due to the fact we feel it was time to move on. Months of low attendance, little or no sales per month and the clothing store just didn't have the proper foot traffic. So now we are looking for renters. It would make the ideal cool office space, studio or retail space. We feel it's a bargain at $650 a month and that includes utilities and a one year lease. Our space is 600 square feet on the corner of 49th and Hatfield in Lawrenceville. It will have a 100 sq foot break room area and access to a bathroom. Or if you would like it for a day for a laid back party, baby shower, business meeting or one day art show. The price is $250 for the whole day. I could even dj at a bargain price of $50.
So that's all for now..thanks to all.

The Pittsburgh Art Blog features selected pittsburgh artists and upcoming exhibits with photos from the artists and galleries. since the major press outlets do not go beyond a directory listing of exhibits, blogs are needed to promote pittsburgh artists and their work. the blog also calls attention to the inferiority complex of pittsburgh art and how it's perpetuated by the major players in town. Started on August 20,2007. pittsburgh area galleries and art venues are listed at the sister site www.PghGalleries.com.
the blog and website are volunteer projects from fine art photographer and pittsburgh artist advocate rick byerly.
