The Day After Tomorrow:
Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition at Sweetwater


Sewickley, PA………………………Sweetwater Center for the Arts to host an exhibition of contemporary ceramic art that uses distinct visions drawn from the landscape of science fiction to create a unique voice that speaks to today’s issues. The Day After Tomorrow is curated by Jamie Adams, a Pittsburgh-based independent writer and curator. Exhibition dates are March 6th - 28th, 2009. The artist reception will be held on March 6th from 7-9 pm and will also showcase bowls made by attendees of Sweetwater’s Empty Bowls Bowl Drive that was held on Saturday, February 14th. These bowls will be donated to Just Harvest for their Empty Bowls dinner held on March 15th at Rodef Shalom. Go to www.justharvest.org for details on the dinner.

This is a free event at Sweetwater Center for the Arts!


Sewickley, PA………………………Also on March 6th from 8-10, there will be an artist reception at Gallery -30-, Sewickley Herald Office, 533 Beaver Street, Sewickley PA 15143. The exhibition on display features works by Cynthia Shaffer, artist and educator, whose work draws directly from nature. Reception will offer music, refreshments, and henna tattoos by the artist!
