NewMoves Contemporary Dance Festival

NewMOVES Contemporary Dance Festival presents contemporary dance exploring diverse dance movement forms. The festival seeks to encourage and present experimentation, collaboration and performance excellence by emerging choreographers. A first for the Kelly Strayhorn Theater, NewMoves engages Pittsburgh audiences in supporting new talent with new movement ideas that are fresh, challenging and fun.
The four day festival will include performances by local and national artists including: Tania Isaac (Philadelphia), Makoto Hirano (Philadelphia), Michele de la Reza/Peter Kope (Pittsburgh), Gwen Ritchie w/ Jennifer Keller (Pittsburgh), Beth Corning (Pittsburgh) Kate Watson Wallace (Philadelphia), Sidra Bell (New York), Edisa Weeks (New York) and Kyle Abraham (Pittsburgh/NYC).
Pre-Show Mixer, 7:00 PM Shows at 7:30 pm, Thursday, Friday and Saturday Sunday (2:00 PM)
