Hey Here's what is going on at Zombo Gallery for Feb/Mar 2009
First off. thanks to all artists who participated in this year's The Big Hang Up..We ended up with about 150 pieces of artwork to display. And the turnout was super.
The Paintings and Illustrations of Adam J. Waddell Opening reception Friday, Feb 6th at 6pm Closing reception Friday, Feb 27 at 6pm I first saw Adam's work last year at Art All Night and in my honest opinion, He stole the show. His large grinning oriental chef painting really jumped out to the forefront. But, his work is not all bright and fun. About half of his work has a darker side that is equally compelling. He will have about 30 pieces in this show and it will be amazing to see the stark contrasts of his styles side by side. And being a Zombo Gallery show, the art is priced to move.
The Lawrenceville Off Leash Dog Park Benefit. One day show. Saturday Feb. 21st. @ 6pm If there is one thing missing in Larryville, it's an off leash park for our growing dog population. We currently have two sites under consideration and are now looking to build funding for it's inception. So, we have asked the entire art community to step up and make a dog themed piece of art. It's should be a howl. The gallery will be filled with all kinds of pooch artistry.
We will have a follow up variety show in March at Your Inner Vagabond on Sunday March 8th at 7pm with live music, belly dancing and many cool surprises! Then in March our first ever double headliner show!(Check out the amazing attached cards!)
Christian Breitkreutz- Don't Let Me Die Ron Copeland- Another Broken Thumb Opening Reception March, Friday the 13th @6pm Closing Reception March, Friday the 27th @ 6pm This is one wild ride of a show. Both of these artists have an amazing eye for details, but are unrestrained in their techniques. Expect a pop culture world gone awry. Deceased Masked men, twisted 50's clip art, wonderfully layered nightmarish landscapes and a little bit of blood. Don't miss it!
