Shadyside… The Arts Festival on Ellsworth

Yes!!! We ARE having an arts festival this year. The dates are SEPTEMBER 14, 15, 16.

This year we are increasing the performance spaces to 3 stages. Local musicians, DJs, spoken word artists, and dance companies will comprise the entertainment and our fabulous local restaurants will provide outdoor dining for your gastronomical gratification!

Art installations created specifically for this event, artists’ demonstrations, interactive art creations, chalk street murals, a children’s activities tent, Friday night dancing in the streets, Divas of Drag, and the Pittsburgh Dance Showcase, and more will be included this year. Katherine Talcott (former visual arts curator of Three Rivers Arts Festival) and Michael LaManna (of Le Launch Group) are organizing the event, produced by Richard Parsakian and Ellen Chisdes Neuberg.

The Pittsburgh Dance Showcase will highlight the talents of local choreographers and dance companies including, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Dance Alloy Theater, Attack Theatre, The Pillow Project, Labco Dance Company, Carolina Loyola-Garcia, Kyle Abraham, Gia T. Cacalano, Oxygen Dance Company, Jennifer Keller, Denise Azzari, plus more.

Please lock in those dates and come to enjoy the many offerings here on Ellsworth.
