Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts

The Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts (PIFOF) is a city-wide, 16-day performing and visual arts festival featuring exclusive U.S. premieres by highly-acclaimed international artists and contemporary performing arts companies. Festival events will be presented in association with other Pittsburgh cultural organizations and will offer intimate experiences for audiences at various traditional and non-traditional performance venues within the downtown Cultural District and throughout the city.

PIFOF is presented as signature event of Pittsburgh’s 250th anniversary celebration.

Andy Warhol's black-and-white film shorts will be put to music at the Byham theater, actors in a Spanish theater group will perform before individual audience members in a labyrinth of rooms and a Slovenia dance group will set Shakespeare's classic love story to music by Radiohead, to name a few of the performances that will run from Oct. 10-25.
