Join the Pittsburgh Technology Council's Art + Technology Initiative for the opening
of its second annual Art + Technology Exhibition and the BurghBot Project. To
celebrate the synergy that exists between the art and tech communities in
Pittsburgh, the Council is partnering with the James Gallery and CREATE Lab to
create this one-of-a-kind exhibition.

2009 Art + Technology Exhibition:
This year's show features more than 50 pieces of artwork in all media,
by 37 regional artists.

The BurghBot Project:
The first ever event of its kind, The BurghBot project showcases the robotic
artwork of ten East Coast artists, operating at a true intersection of art and technology. Each artist has
created a unique interactive, artistic adaptation of CREATE Lab’s robotic frameworks (seen in a previous
life as Robot 250).

EVENT DETAILS:
The opening night event will feature drinks, hors d'oeuvres and music from jazz vocalist, Anna Ciaccioa;
Art Energy Design’s Power Flower, Pittsburgh’s first 12’ tall kinetic sculpture; Etcetera Edutainment’s
Crowd Play, the world's first commercial "crowd-gaming" system; Locally Toned, one of the first recipients
of deeplocal’s Artist-in-Residence program; Pittsburgh Filmmakers’ Film on the 15’s, featuring a
