"BONFIRE" presents an idyllic nature-scape of ancient people joined together around the collective warmth of a blazing firepit at sunset. Lush greens, reds, oranges, and blues provide a rich, colorful backdrop to this vibrant dusk gathering."BONFIRE" serves as a reminder of a time when the struggle for survival alongside the elements was our prevailing predicament. People were different, naturally, but together they made us the societies and cultures that we are today. We all came from different incarnations of this same scenario, and are not so different from that today. "BONFIRE" made it's debut in the recent MANIFEST EQUALITY exhibition in Los Angeles, CA from March 3-7, 2010.
This is NOT a digitally reproduced print. After drawing our original designs on birch plywood, we hand-carve all the blocks (see pics below). We print the finished woodblocks through a press onto paper in our in-house printshop.
"BONFIRE" is a limited edition of 100 prints. Each print in the edition is signed, titled and numbered. Prints are packaged in clear, resealable sleeves with coroplast backing. Ready for gifting, propping up on a shelf, or safely transporting until framed!

Weave Magazine First Issue Party November 9 2008

Weave Magazine is pleased to invite you to an evening of poetry and music to celebrate the release of our inaugural issue hosted by Your Inner Vagabond Coffeehouse & World Lounge on November 9th, 2008 beginning at 5:00pm.The event should be a splendid evening (especially if YOU are there!) and will include poetry readings from the first issue, silent auction, musical performances and the sale of works by local artists. The event is free and open to the public.
What is Weave?
Weave is a literary print publication and organization based out of Pittsburgh, PA. We seek to create a space for a cross-section of writers and artists of all walks of life to meet on the page, on the stage, and in workshop. We celebrate diversity in both the creator and their works and strive to showcase both novice and established writers and artists. Weave will host a series of workshops that focus on the writing and submissions processes as well as on bringing poetry to the stage as a viable performance art. Weave will also collaborate with writers from our publication, Weave Magazine, to present readings that will showcase Pittsburgh's young literary talent.

Pittsburgh Print Club First Meeting May 16 2008 Michael Berger Gallery
To art patrons, artists, and anyone interested in art!
Inaugural Meeting May 16 2008 7pm, Michael Berger Gallery 415 Gettysburg Street, Pittsburgh PA 15206
It is a pleasure to invite you to the inaugural meeting of the PITTSBURGH PRINT CLUB.
The Club welcomes those who are interested in editions of original works of art from prints (lithographs, screenprints, etchings, mezzotints etc. ) to tapestries and three dimensional objects. In addition to deepening connoisseurship, the Club will be a venue through which members can develop their own collections by guided visits to galleries and museums, study groups, sponsoring lectures, hosting seminars by artists, lecturers, publishers and scholars.
Depending on what the membership decides, other activities might be included as well such as visits to private collections in Pittsburgh and other cities.
Please join me at the first meeting of the PITTSBURGH PRINT CLUB to organize, meet each other, and agree on a set of by-laws. I also look forward to your input about growing the Club.
