Pittsburgh Arts Community Database
The Pittsburgh Arts Community Database, a partnership with TRG Arts, is a cooperative web-based database comprised of patron data from participating organizations in the Pittsburgh region. The Community Database ensures that your data is clean (via the National Change of Address updates), enables you to simply and easily trade mailing lists with other organizations, and helps you learn more about the people who are walking through your doors. It is offered as a FREE benefit to active members of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council (GPAC). Simply put, the Community Database can save you time and money by streamlining your access to substantial, targeted, arts patron data.
A community database enables member organizations to find and cultivate customers for their programs quickly, easily, and cost-effectively. Using TRG Arts' powerful web-based data management system, eMerge, participating organizations access their data anytime for sharing names, viewing list counts, running analysis reports, and ordering lists.
...The Pittsburgh Art Blog
The Pittsburgh Art Blog features selected pittsburgh artists and upcoming exhibits with photos from the artists and galleries. since the major press outlets do not go beyond a directory listing of exhibits, blogs are needed to promote pittsburgh artists and their work. the blog also calls attention to the inferiority complex of pittsburgh art and how it's perpetuated by the major players in town. Started on August 20,2007. pittsburgh area galleries and art venues are listed at the sister site www.PghGalleries.com.
the blog and website are volunteer projects from fine art photographer and pittsburgh artist advocate rick byerly.
