Art All Night Sat April 24 25 2010 Lawrenceville Pittsburgh PA

The official entrance to Art all Night this year will be what we are calling the breeze way. It is immediately under and too the left of the enormous 16 pound bottle of Iron pictured on the wall of the building on Liberty Ave. It is way cool. You walk straight down through buildings and memories of old time Pittsburgh. At the bottom it opens into our yard, the loading docks and inside the warehouse.........Art.

Art All Night Lawrenceville (Saturday, April 24, 6 pm to Sunday, April 25, 2 pm 2010) is an annual celebration of arts, community and creativity. Anyone and everyone is invited to submit one (and only one) piece of artwork or sign up to perform during this one-of-a-kind neighborhood event attended by nearly 10,000 people each year. View art, hear music, meet friends, create art, enjoy beverages and make memories “All Night” long! Visit www.artallnight.org for more information and instructions on registering artwork. No fee. No jury. No censorship.

The Pittsburgh Art Blog

pittsburgh galleries is reborn anew as The Pittsburgh Art Blog. the blog features selected pittsburgh artists and upcoming exhibits with photos from the artists and galleries. since the major press outlets do not go beyond a directory listing of exhibits, blogs are needed to promote pittsburgh artists and their work. the blog also calls attention to the inferiority complex of pittsburgh art and how it's perpetuated by the major players in town. Started on August 20, 2007.

pittsburgh area galleries and art venues are listed at the sister site www.PghGalleries.com.

the blog and website are volunteer projects from fine art photographer and pittsburgh art advocate rick byerly, www.RickByerly.com.

Join us on April 24 and 25 from Dusk till Midnight, for the 2009 Light Art Exhibition hosted by UnSmoke Systems. The two day event is a unique and exciting art event that exhibits works of art from artists around the region. For the past 20 years, the University of Wisconsin-Madison has been hosting national exhibits for artists w house light as a medium.

This year they have decided to take it on the road, to Braddock, PA, a city that is in the midst of a gradual and dynamic revitalization and transformation. Similar to these efforts, artists who use light as a medium will come and transform UnSmoke Systems. This event is presented by The University of Wisconsin - Madison Art/Glass Dept.,UnSmoke Systems and The Mayor’s Office of Braddock, PA. We have created an event that is exposing Pittsburgh based light artists such as; Rob Long and Sean Glover, with artists from around the region.

Beer has been donated by the Brillobox.

If you have been looking for an excuse to come check out what is goingon in Braddock this event will be a great introduction to the area.
