Kuntz is a faculty member of Clarion University art department. She grew up in western Canada and completed her undergraduate degree in Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She received a scholarship to SUNY Purchase in Westchester County of N.Y., where she earned both M.A. and M.F.A degrees.

It is one of a handful of modern-day artisans who continue the art of custom framing completely by hand. After relocating to Pittsburgh many years ago, they opened up their shop/gallery in the Lawrenceville section of Pittsburgh.
