Pittsburgh Unblurred Art Gallery Crawl This Friday April 4, 2008, Penn Ave in Garfield

Unblurred Gallery Crawl always happens the First Friday of every month along Penn Avenue in Garfield, Bloomfield, Friendship and East Liberty. The Friday April 4, 2008 schedule is below. ( current schedules can always be found here , every unblurred is worth checking out!) .

This week feature's Modernformation Art Gallery's Spring Salon! 4919 Penn Ave near Garfield Artworks, a great place to start Unblurred around 7 pm as Metamorphose, Modernformations, Garfield Artworks, Imagebox are close to each other and you can pick up an Unblurred schedule there to see what else is going on!

6PM-9PM THE GREEN BUILDING GALLERY - 5515 PENN AVE.CLOSING RECEPTION John Sokol (paintings) & James Shipman (sculpture). John Sokol & James Shipman are two of our regions' finest artists. Sokol, 60, has had sold out shows in New York City - his paintings in tar, oil & acrylic are beautiful, mythic works done by a modern master. James Shipman is here showing a group of wonderful mixed media sculptures using clay, steel and found objects. Shipman is the President of the Society of Sculpture, the oldest sculpture group in the United States. These are two great artists at the height of their creative powers - don't miss it! 6PM-10PM MOST WANTED FINE ART - 5015 PENN AVE.UTOPIA: LOST AND FOUND Prints, monotypes, and paintings from the master printers of Stone Press Editions in Seattle, Washington. John Lysak, Scott Frish, and Kent Lovelace make up the most comprehensive collective ever shown at Most Wanted. Although the artists have divergent styles, the work shares a sense of place and a connection in creating an ideal vision. 7PM-9PM METAMORPHOSE - 4922 PENN AVE.PHOTOGRAPHY & FILM Featuring New York Photographer, Joseph Castelli showing his work titled "Duality." A brand of story driven imagery. The concept was to unlock information unbeknownst to the model, and to communicate his interpretation of the subject. Also enjoy a short film featuring Jordan Speranzo titled "At least they could warn us." Directed by David Hall & produced by Katie Woolridge. Bring your recycled art piece made from everyday junk.
