Hello All- Sorry we've been so silent over the past few months and really haven't had anything fun for you. To be honest, we've simply been consumed with other activities and haven't had the energy to pursue gallery activities. This weekend, Saturday, March 29th, from 7pm to 11pm we will be having the final event of the 5151Penn Gallery. We'll definitely be going out with a bang though... all the things you've enjoyed... great art on the walls (Big Tree by Linnea Glick), beer from East End Brewing, and DJ Juddy and Friends making sure you shake your booty to northern soul, funk, balkan, bhangra, and who knows what else...

Over the past year and a half, we've had a great time and hope you've enjoyed the shows we've put on, but it's time for us to move on. I do hope, however, that you'll welcome the new occupant of the 5151Penn space, Parent Resource Network. PRN provides support services for parents of children born prematurely or with chronic illness and/or birth defects. Being at 5151 will allow them to be much more effective in working with parents at both the Children's Home and the new Children's Hospital here on Penn Ave. They're a growing non-profit organization that really reaches out to help parents going through difficult times. http://www.parentresourcenetwork.org/

Please join us this Saturday to help us celebrate all the great shows and fun times we've had in the gallery, welcome a new organization to Penn Avenue, and kick up your heels to some of the best dance music in Pittsburgh. We'll have East End beer, some snacks, and a few other libations, but if you're picky (or just like to share), please feel free to bring whatever you'd like along with you. I hope to see you one last time at the gallery.
