What's the NCECA? It's the National Council on Education for Ceramic Arts. A Pittsburgh Convention? It's their national convention happening from Wednesday March 19 through Saturday March 22, 2008. It means there's a lot of art to be seen during March of 2008 and beyond. Over 5,000 visitors will be in Pittsburgh to participate in the conference and many art groups, galleries, and artists are taking part by displaying art work. Whether you're a part of the convention or not this is a chance to see Pittsburgh celebrate art in many mediums, primarily ceramics.
The art exhibit information for each area will be posted in the next few days here and will be adapted from the NCECA schedule in order for anyone in the Pittsburgh area to find out what's happening during this exciting time for the NCECA and for Pittsburgh art. Conference members will most likely be on a tour bus on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 seeing these exhibits throughout the area. Each listing has start and end dates as well as hours for the venue so you'll know when you can check out all the art.
